[Abstract] Objective: To study relationship of blood pressure and serum lipids, homocysteine. Methods: 250 cases of patients with hypertension and 250 cases with normal blood pressure were selected, and the high blood pressure was classified; to detect triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), homocysteine (Hcy) in the morning fasting blood of two groups. Results: TG, Hcy, TC and LDL-C of the hypertension group and control group were significantly different (P<0.01), HDL-C of two groups had no obvious difference. TG, TC, LDL-C, Hcy increased with the increase of blood pressure, HDL-C decrease with the increase of blood pressure; TG, Hcy had significant difference between men and women patients with hypertension (P<0.01), TC, HDL-C and LDL-C had no difference. Conclusion: There is close correlation between hypertension, lipids and Hcy, and it has important significance that enhance cardiovascular health knowledge and interventions to promote people to adopt healthy behaviors and lifestyles voluntarily, for eliminating or reducing the risk factors affecting health, preventing disease, promoting health and improving quality of life.
