[摘要] 健康教育作为公共卫生领域的一部分，很大程度上运用了社会科学的研究方法，从而，定性研究和定量研究不可避免地成为其主要研究方法。随着统计学的发展和统计软件的广泛应用，定量研究成为健康教育调查工作中的主要部分，而定性研究却常常被忽视。本文通过对比定量研究和定性研究的特点，利用健康教育诊断、计划、干预和评价的系统思路过程，探讨两种研究方法在健康教育工作各阶段中的运用，得出健康教育工作需要结合定性研究和定量研究，采用多元的研究方法，全面地分析和解决健康教育工作问题的结论，从而为今后开展健康教育相关工作提供参考性意见。
