[Abstract] Objective To study the effect of collaborative nursing mode on self-care ability and quality of life in the patients with Alzheimer's disease. Methods A total of 100 patients with Alzheimer's disease who were admitted to the geriatric psychiatric wards in our hospital from February 2016 to February 2018 were randomly selected. According to the random number table method, these patients were divided into two groups: the collaborative mode nursing group (collaborative group, n=50) and the conventional rehabilitation nursing group(control group, n=50). The MMSE score, ADL score, ESCA score, PANSS score, SF-36 score and clinical efficacy were analyzed statistically in both groups. Results The MMSE score and ESCA score in the patients in the collaborative group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). The ADL score was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). The positive symptoms, negative symptoms and general psychopathological scores in the PANSS scale were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Body and emotional role function, physical and mental health, physical pain, energy and overall health, social function score, and total score of SF-36 were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). The total effective rate of nursing care was 98.0%(49/50), which was significantly higher than that of 76.0% in the control group(38/50)(P<0.05). Conclusion Collaborative nursing mode can improve the self-care ability and quality of life of the patients with Alzheimer's disease more effectively than conventional rehabilitation nursing.
