    Effect analysis of probiotics combined with mesalazine on patients with ulcerative colitis and its effect on NGAL and MUC2 protein

    [Abstract] Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of probiotics combined with mesalazine on patients with ulcerative colitis and the effects on neutrophil gelatinase-related lipid carrier protein (NGAL) and intestinal mucin 2 (MUC2) levels. Methods A total of 98 patients with ulcerative colitis admitted to our hospital from June 2018 to June 2020 were collected as research objects. They were randomLy divided into the observation group and the control group， with 49 cases in each group. The control group was treated with mesalazine， while the observation group was treated with probiotics combined with mesalazine. The clinical efficacy， NGAL， MUC2， flora distribution， T lymphocyte subsets and the incidence of adverse reactions of the two groups of patients were recorded and compared.
