[Abstract] Objective This paper tries to investigate the value of phacoemulsification and small incision non-phacoemulsification in cataract surgery. Methods 60 patients with cataract were enrolled in the study from January 2014 to December 2016. The patients were convenient selected divided into two groups by computer random double blind method: experiment and control group, 30 cases in each. The experimental group received phacoemulsification, while the control group received small incision non-phacoemulsification. The effect of surgical treatment in two groups was observed, and the best corrected visual acuity and complication rate after operation were compared. Results The postoperative best corrected visual acuity for one day was more than or equal to 0.5 in 25 cases, and control group of 19 cases, significantly increased, with significant difference (P<0.05), but the two groups after 7 d, 30 d best corrected visual acuity, more than or equal to 0.5 had no significant difference(P>0.05); the experimental group complication rate was 3.33%, significantly lower than 23.33% in the control group, significant difference between groups(P<0.05). The total effective rate was 96.67% in the experimental group and 93.33% in the control group. The difference between the two groups was not obvious(P>0.05). Conclusion For cataract patients, the implementation of phacoemulsification and small incision non-phacoemulsification surgery can eventually get remarkable results, but as for the choice of the two procedures in the clinical, the indications should be strictly grasped, at the same time as the patients of cataract surgery and surgical techniques of master degree and then choosing an optimal operation. In this way, the operation safety can be ensured, the complication rate can be reduced, and the visual function of the patient can be restored., http://www.100md.com(陈小梅 谢奇英 刘新)
