[Abstract] Objective To explore the clinical application effect of evidence-based nursing in the care of children with severe viral encephalitis. Methods Convenient select 64 children with severe viral encephalitis who were treated in our hospital from June 2017 to October 2018 were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group by digital randomized method. There were 32 children in each group. For routine nursing, the experimental group used evidence-based nursing; the cerebrospinal fluid index, complication rate and recovery time of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results 1.In the experimental group, convulsions (2.31±1.07) d, disturbance of consciousness (3.09±1.11) d, cranial nerve disorder (10.73±3.02) d, and recovery time of limb disorders (11.46±1.74) d were significant. In the control group (t=4.391, 3.198, 3.872, 4.017, P<0.05); 2.After the nursing intervention, the children in the experimental group had no significant difference in the cerebrospinal fluid index except the chloride content (t=0.329, P>0.05); the protein content of the experimental group (0.35±0.09) mg/L, glucose content (3.43±0.33) mg/L, and white blood cell count (26.39±4.8)×109/L were significantly lower than the control group, (t=5.028, 3.192, 3.383, P<0.05); 3.The total incidence of complications such as respiratory failure, heart failure, toxic shock, emphysema, pneumothorax and hypoxic encephalopathy in the experimental group was 12.50%, significantly lower than the control group (28.13%) (χ2=5.273, P<0.05); 4.the satisfaction rate of the experimental group was 96.88%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (71.88%) (P<0.05). Conclusion Evidence-based nursing for children with severe viral encephalitis can effectively promote the recovery of children's disease, improve the clinical symptoms of children, reduce the risk of complications, improve the satisfaction of family members, and have clinical value of promotion and application., http://www.100md.com(梁兴连)
