[Abstract] Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy after the treatment of urinary calculi with Paishi Decoction Granules. Methods The conveniently selected subjects of this study were 198 patients with urinary calculi who underwent extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy in our hospital from March 2017 to September 2018, and were divided into observation group and control group according to the odd-even method. The patients in the control group were treated with routine Western medicine. The patients in the observation group were treated with Paishi Decoction Granules. The total clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared. The TCM symptom scores, the time of stone removal, and the treatment were analyzed. The total length difference was compared and the adverse reactions of each group were compared. Results The total clinical efficacy of the observation group was 95.96%, which was significantly better than that of the control group (χ2=13.230 5, P<0.05), and TCM sundrome score(1.03±0.12)points, the net length of stone discharge (6.88±1.21)d, and the total duration of treatment (3.89±1.15)d. Both were lower than the control group (t=152.169 4, 25.826 0, 12.979 0, P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 5.05% significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=4.584, P<0.05). Conclusion Patients with urinary calculi who receive extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy are better treated with Paishi Decoction Granules, safe and reliable, and worthy of promotion.,
