[Abstract] Objective To analyze the effect of predictive nursing on preventing falls in elderly patients with schizophrenia. Methods From January 2017 to January 2019, 38 elderly patients with schizophrenia were convenient selected from the Department of Psychiatry of Taicang Third People's Hospital. They were divided into control group (19 cases) and study group (19 cases) according to the numerical parity method, the control group was treated with routine care, and the study group conducted predictive care and analyzed the fall prevention effect of the two groups. Results From the number of patients with high-risk falls, the control group and the study group were 9 cases and 3 cases, respectively, and the study group was fewer than the control group (χ2=4.385, P=0.036); from the ward floor slip score, ward lighting In terms of system score, bathroom handrail score, and high-risk fall warning score, the study group was (93.57±1.48)points, (95.63±1.22)points, (95.52±2.63)points, and (97.52±1.63)points, and the control group was (79.40±2.78)points, (79.62±2.60)points, (78.40±3.58)points, (78.40±5.58)points, the study group was higher than the control group (t=19.612, 24.299, 16.799, 14.337, P=0.000). From the point of view of fall consciousness behavior, after the nursing intervention, the research group's psychological and emotional awareness score, environmental awareness score, drug awareness score, living habit awareness score, self-protection awareness score, and prevention of fall overall consciousness score were (95.71±9.55)points,(90.08±11.50)points,(76.31±9.14)points, (91.97±14.43)points, (86.48±7.15)points, (83.87±10.25)points, and the control group were (71.45±12.01)points, (70.23±8.76)points, (68.41±13.89)points, (73.58±19.34)points, (75.84±15.68)points, (62.08±6.79)points, the study group was higher than the control group (t=6.892, 9.985, 2.071, 3.322, 2.691, 7.725, P=0.000). Conclusion For elderly patients with schizophrenia, the application of predictive nursing can effectively prevent falls, ensure patient safety, and have clinically significant results with significant clinical value., http://www.100md.com(张来军)
