[Abstract] Objective To explore the clinical impact of diet nursing intervention in patients with esophageal cancer during concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Methods From January 2018 to January 2020, 46 patients with concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy for esophageal cancer were convenient selected as the research objects, and they were randomly divided into the conventional group (23 cases, with intravenous or gastrointestinal nutritional support) and the diet group (23 cases, with the implementation of routine group nutritional support method + diet nursing), compare the nutritional level (albumin, hemoglobin), quality of life and adverse reactions of the two groups before and after intervention. Results The scores of the quality of life of the diet group were higher than those of the routine group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). After the intervention, the diet group patients' albumin (38.67±3.52)g/L and hemoglobin (122.36±14.03) g/L were higher than those of the routine group (33.12±3.45)g/L, (105.67±10.39)g/L,and the difference was statistically significant(t=5.400, 4.585, P<0.05); the incidence of adverse reactions during concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy in the diet group was 8.70% lower than that of the routine group 34.78%,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.600, P<0.05). Conclusion The implementation of diet nursing intervention for patients with esophageal cancer treated with concurrent radiotherapy and chemotherapy has achieved definite results.
