[Abstract] Objective To analyze the prevalence of nutritional iron deficiency anemia in infants and children in pediatric healthcare clinic and the causes of related anemia. Methods A total of 400 infants and young children with nutritional iron deficiency anemia received treatment in our pediatric healthcare clinic from May 2017 to May 2018 were selected as subjects. The prevalence of nutritional iron deficiency anemia in infants and young children was observed and analyzed, and the causes of anemia were summarized. Infants with nutritional iron deficiency anemia were treated with iron, and the clinical efficacy was analyzed. Results The prevalence of nutritional iron deficiency anemia in infants from 6 months to < 1 year old was higher than that in infants aged 1-3 years (P<0.05). The proportion of mild anemia was significantly higher than that of moderate anemia (P<0.05). The incidence of anemia in per-term infants and anemia during pregnancy was significantly higher (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the prevalence of nutritional iron deficiency anemia between artificially fed infants and breast-fed infants (P>0.05). The clinical total effectiveness rate was 98.00%. Conclusion The incidence of nutritional iron deficiency anemia in infants from 6 months to < 1 year old is higher, and the condition is more serious. However, most infants and young children are in mild anemia. The occurrence of anemia is closely related to feeding patterns and family factors. Hence, it is necessary to correct the feeding patterns of infants and young children to avoid further aggravating their condition. In addition, supply with iron treatment can obtain a favorable clinical effect., http://www.100md.com(曾凯丹)
