    [Abstract] Objective： To investigate the clinical effect of Sodium Aescinate in reducing gastric paralysis after gastric bypass surgery for type 2 diabetes mellitus. Method： A total of 180 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who underwent gastric bypass surgery in Zhuozhou Hospital from January 2016 to December 2018 were studied， according to the different treatment methods， 180 patients were randomly divided into the study group and the control group， 90 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine treatment， and the study group was treated with Sodium Aescinate on the basis of the control group. The levels of gastrointestinal hormones before and after treatment， postoperative gastroparesis and adverse reactions of two groups were observed. Result： There were no significant differences in plasma motilin and gastrin levels， gastric emptying rate and gastric emptying time between two groups before treatment (P>0.05).
