    [摘要] 膝骨关节炎(KOA)是一类以膝关节软骨发生原发性或继发性病变并伴随软骨下骨质增生、关节疼痛等为特征的常见关节疾病，随着我国人口老龄化加重，中老年患者的生活质量严重下降。目前 KOA 的保守治疗方法主要有中医外治、物理治疗、药物治疗等，其中中医外治法在 KOA 的治疗中具有操作简单、疗效显著、费用低廉等特点，其临床效果得到广泛认可与推广，且目前中医外治法治疗 KOA 将成为治疗的主要发展趋势。中医外治方法治疗 KOA 效果显著，可有效缓解关节疼痛、改善关节功能，但其作用机制还需进一步研究。本文就目前中医外治法治疗 KOA 的最新进展进行综述，为今后临床的治疗提供一定的参考和思路。
